Advanced Airway Lab
We’re pleased to offer our Advanced Airway Lab again in 2017, chaired by Airway Expert Dr. Kenneth Butler. This course will sell out fast, please be sure to sign up if you’re interested, limited to 40 physicians and eligible for four (4) hours of CME.
The lab is scheduled for November 5th, from 8:00am – 12:00pm. Please note this does overlap with other labs and tracks, so please check your schedule to confirm your availability.
Advanced Ultrasound Course
This year, ACOEP will only be offering the Advanced portion of our Ultrasound Lab, offering hands-on experience in a small ratio to instructor setting. Limited to 40 physicians.
This lab is a pre-conference track, and will run from 8:00am – 12:00pm on Saturday, November 4th. Please ensure you arrive in time for the early morning kickoff on the 4th.
Into the Wild: Wilderness Medicine Track in The Rocky Mountains
Join fellow physicians in a partnership between ACOEP and the University of Colorado Section of Wilderness & Environmental Medicine, for a full day of intense collaboration in Wilderness Medicine.
This course will include four (4) hours of interactive lecture, and an additional four (4) hours of training in the actual Colorado mountains (weather permitting for safety reasons). The course in its entirety offers eight (8) hours of CME, and will run from 8:00am – 5:00pm on Saturday, November 4th, with transportation and food provided.
The head instructor will be Dr. Elaine Reno. Dr. Reno attended the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed her Emergency Medicine training at Denver Health Medical Center/University of Colorado. She is currently the Wilderness Medicine Fellow and is faculty at the University of Colorado as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine.
Resident Vs. Attending Flip-Cup Airway Competition
Attendings and residents will go head-to-head in an airway shootout competition! 16 teams of 4 will compete in this flip cup style competition. *Attendings can register as an individual or as part of a team. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. The top 3 teams will win prizes and all attendings that participate are eligible for CME credit! Sponsored by LEMA.

Advanced Resuscitation Workshop- SOLD OUT!
This advanced Resuscitation Workshop will immerse you in a combination of lecture and hands-on experience, taught by renowned experts in Resuscitation. Lead by Haney Mallemat, MD and Sean Quinn, DO, and two additional instructors to be added, this workshop offers four (4) hours of CME, and is limited to 30 total physicians to keep a small instructor-learner ratio in tact.
This workshop is a pre-conference track, and takes place on Sunday, November 5th, from 8:00am – 12:00pm.
