In response to recent challenges, the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians (ACOEP) Board of Directors has made the important decision to transition operational and day-to-day management activities of ACOEP to an association management company. Following careful consideration and analysis, Kellen will manage ACOEP entirely beginning January 1, 2021.

“We are confident that Kellen will be a strategic partner to help ACOEP best serve its membership and to play a leadership role in the future of our community,” said ACOEP President Robert Suter, DO, MHA, FACOEP-D. “I also want to express appreciation to departing staff for their hard work, selfless dedication and contributions that helped ACOEP grow and achieve its goals. They will always be part of our family.”

While this decision was not easily reached, the ACOEP Board of Directors determined in September 2020 that it was in the best interest of the association to take this action in support of ACOEP’s mission and strategic plan. A request for proposal was developed and shared with numerous association management firms. After evaluation of all presentations, Kellen, a leading global association management company, was chosen as ACOEP’s new association management firm.

Kellen, a charter-accredited member of the Association Management Companies Institute and an active member of the American Society of Association Executives, has a proven record of success, a belief in ACOEP’s mission, and an experienced staff to deliver effective collaboration and integration between disciplines, including strategy, administration, membership, communications, finance, technology, marketing, publications, and events to move ACOEP successfully forward.

The new ACOEP staff includes members based in Kellen’s Chicago, Atlanta, New York, and Washington DC offices.
