Categories & Fees
Student membership may be granted to any individual who is presently enrolled in an AOA- or LCME-accredited medical school and exhibits a sincere interest in the specialty of emergency medicine.
Dues Annual Cycle: January 1st to December 31st
Resident Classic Membership ($50)
Resident membership may be granted to any Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or Doctor of Medicine who is actively participating in an AOA- or ACGME-accredited emergency medicine residency or fellowship program.

Early Attending Membership ($425)
Early Attending membership may be granted to any physician in their first two years after completing an emergency medicine residency program.

Attending (Military) Membership ($650)
Attending (Military) membership may be granted to any practicing emergency physician who has served a minimum of two (2) years in active-duty military service.

Attending Membership ($800)
Attending membership may be granted to any Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or Doctor of Medicine who has completed an AOA- or ACGME-accredited emergency medicine residency program, is engaged in the practice or administration of emergency medicine, and meets all other membership requirements.

Fellow Membership ($800)
Fellow membership may be granted to any member who has been in good standing for at least five (5) consecutive years and maintains board certification in emergency medicine. For more information and to fill out the application, visit our Fellowship web page.

Distinguished Fellow Membership ($800)
Distinguished Fellow membership may be granted to any Fellow Member who has maintained ten (10) consecutive years of Fellow membership and continues to meet the established criteria. For more information and to fill out the application, visit our Fellowship web page.

Associate Membership ($395)
Associate membership may be granted to any individual healthcare provider who does not meet the criteria for Attending membership but demonstrates a sincere interest in emergency medicine.

Retired Membership ($200)
Retired membership may be granted, upon application to the Member Services Committee, to any individual who would otherwise qualify as an Attending member, but who has permanently retired from the practice of emergency medicine and has reached the age of 65.
Dues Annual Cycle: January 1st to December 31st
Life Membership ($0)
Life membership may be granted, upon application to the Member Services Committee, to any fully retired physician who has maintained a minimum of twenty (20) years of continuous College membership and is at least sixty (60) years old.
All dues are deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses. The organization did not engage in lobbying or political activities during the year.
