In addition to the main conference, we offer several special opportunities to enhance your experience and learning. Registration is required for each of the following events.
NAEMSP Foundations of Medical Oversight course ($440)
Monday, October 24, 8am – 4pm
The National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP®) Foundations of Medical Oversight Course (FOMOC) provides practicing and future medical directors with knowledge essential to the provision of quality medical oversight. This full day course covers the system issues and clinical care considerations that impact this role. Topics include system design and response, credentialing and training of EMS providers, clinical care and quality improvement. Lunch is provided.
Simtastic I & II ($100)
Wednesday, October 26, 1:30pm – 3pm & Thursday, October 27, 1:30pm – 3pm
Simtastic is a Train Yourself Lab experience where you learn how to make up to six different high acuity, low occurance (halo) trainers out of easily found materials. Come learn how to practice your craft!
Simtastic I & Simtastic II are the same program, just repeated. Register for the time that is best for you.
FOEM Gala – A Night with the Stars ($300 in advance/$325 at the door)
Wednesday, October 26, 7pm – 10pm
Join FOEM for our Annual Legacy Gala: Dinner & Awards Ceremony. This signature fundraising event includes a cocktail reception, dinner, silent auction, and entertainment. Luncheon & Panel Discussion (hosted by the Women in EM Committee) ($50)
Thursday, October 27, 12pm – 2pm
Everyone is welcome to join us for an informative panel on diversity, inclusion and microaggressions in the workplace. We will also be honoring the Willoughby Award winner. This popular event sells out quickly and, post-pandemic, will be limited to the seats in the room – no standing room allowed. Be sure to secure your spot today.

Resident & Student (RSO) Leadership Academy ($15)
Monday, October 24, 12pm – 5pm
Hone your leadership skills with this specialized student event. Students will get specific leadership training on the skills that will help you stand out now and throughout your career. Limited to the first 50 students, this is an afternoon of essential self growth and development. Lunch is provided.
Resident & Student (RSO) Residency Speed Dating ($25)
Tuesday, October 25, 12pm – 2pm
Students are placed in small groups which rotate among the various residency programs and their directors for an intimate look at what each program has to offer. Prepare your questions and get the answers you need. This is a great way to learn about residency programs across the country in a small group setting. Lunch is provided.

If you already registered, you are able to modify your registration to add any of the above events.
The American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians will refund application fees, less a processing fee, to any applicant who is unable to attend educational programs, and notifies the College, in writing, one month prior to the date of the event. If truly emergent circumstances arise, and can be documented, this policy will hold try at any time, including just prior to the beginning of the program. In that circumstance, in addition to the $100 processing fee, any other actual costs that are attributed to that particular participant may be deducted from the application fee. (Example: the cost of a special workshop syllabus, over and above the syllabus prepared for all participants.) The ACOEP will not be held responsible for any expenses incurred to a participant due to inclement weather or travel difficulties. Tuition fees will not be refunded based on these reasons.
