ACOEP’s Interim Executive Director Adam Levy has announced his departure, effective September 4th, in order to take on a new role as the Executive Director of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association.

“I am incredibly thankful to Adam for his excellent work on behalf of the members of ACOEP,” said ACOEP President Robert Suter, DO, MHA, FACOEP-D. “His outstanding efforts and dedication to our organization during challenging times cannot be understated. We wish him only the best as he transitions to an opportunity that will allow him more time with his family.”

Levy began his tenure at ACOEP leading the Events Department and worked hard to expand, modernize, and streamline all aspects of ACOEP’s meetings and events. His work soon extended to encompass enaction of ACOEP’s strategic plan as he took on the role of Director of Events and Strategic Initiatives, and then later as the Deputy Executive Director.

Most recently Levy served as Interim Executive Director, helping ACOEP navigate difficult transitions made all the more complex by the current Coronavirus pandemic.

“I will greatly miss being a part of the ACOEP family,” said Levy. “I will miss working alongside an amazing staff and volunteer team, knowing that under the leadership of Dr. Suter and the Board of Directors the future of ACOEP is very bright. While this was a difficult decision, I am thrilled to continue serving the healthcare community in my next endeavor, and be located in closer proximity to my home.”

The ACOEP Board will announce a leadership transition plan in the near future.

Congratulations, Adam! Thank you for your work, dedication, humor, and vision.
