What makes ACOEP’s Oral Board Review a valuable course for attendees?

ACOEP’s Oral Board Review is an enormous value for participants preparing for their AOBEM Oral Boards. We offer an experiential learning platform that simulates what the participant will experience on the actual test day. We review tips and recommendations on how to approach the Oral Board Exam, and give real-time feedback for immediate self-assessment in order to prepare and transform the participant to successfully pass the exam.

What can ACOEP Oral Board Review attendees expect to walk away with after taking the course?

Participants can expect to walk away with full confidence on how to manage and take the Oral Board Exam successfully. After a full day of simulation and practice, the participant will be prepared for the exam. Practice makes permanence!

What are three things that you recommend attendees should do in preparation for attending ACOEP’s Oral Board Review?

We recommend that participants come with an open mind, the willingness to participate, and the mindset to receive real-time feedback during the simulations. The course is designed to prepare the participants to learn and understand the rules of the exam. We are taking the participants’ medical knowledge and helping them apply it successfully in order to pass the exam.

What sets ACOEP’s Oral Board Review apart from other Oral Board Review courses?

ACOEP’s Oral Board Review is specific to the AOBEM. We issue a full experiential simulation of the exam, from providing exposures to how the actual oral exam is conducted to a simulated visual stimulus exam experience. Meaningful real-time feedback is given and experiences from proctors are shared. ACOEP’s Oral Board Review is expanding and bringing the course closer to its participants, now offering courses in Chicago and Philadelphia!

What’s one thing that you’ve found most valuable towards your own personal learning experience that ACOEP’s Oral Board Review has provided you with?

Meeting and learning from all of the emergency physicians from different parts of the country that participate in ACOEP’s Oral Board Review is humbling. This factor makes me proud of how well the osteopathic emergency medicine residency programs train and produce high quality physicians to serve and protect each and every one of our communities.

What is your favorite part about attending ACOEP’s Oral Board Review course?

My favorite part is meeting all of the participants. I try to spend a few minutes getting to know each of them to learn about where and how they practice. Each attendee is unique, and learning how different parts of the country practice emergency medicine is fascinating.
