The emergency medicine community is a family, and this week we tragically lost one of our own. Today we mourn the death of Kevin Rodgers, MD, President of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, who was killed in his home.
While details are still surfacing, the magnitude of this tragedy cannot be overstated. The father of four was a selfless advocate, educator, and US Army veteran, and will be missed by countless individuals who benefited from his time and talents.
We are deeply saddened by this loss and offer our sincerest condolences to Dr. Rodger’s family, and friends, as well as the communities he has faithfully served.
