Submit Your Research
Submit your research for one of the FOEM Fall Research Competitions. We welcome and encourage all physicians, residents, and students to apply to the competitions. Winners of the competitions will be announced during the 2024 Scientific Assembly and will receive a written certificate suitable for ‎framing, or a monetary prize (depending on the competition), from ACOEP’s FOEM Foundation.

RESIDENT-STUDENT ORGANIZATION (RSO) PROGRAMMING – Sneak Peek! (Sunday-Monday)

  • Annual Residency Speed Dating Event: ACOEP-RSO will host over 30 programs at our not-so-traditional residency fair targeted towards 3rd years starting rotations and 4th years applying this Fall looking to find their perfect match, although all OMS students are welcome!
  • Simulation labs and skills workshops! At the Spring Seminar, we had workshops including priapism drainage, lateral canthotomy, ultrasound, intubations, and even a beanie baby triage competition!
  • Guest lectures from residents, attendings, and other faculty from around the country.
  • ACOEP-RSO elections for the 2024-2025 year will be held in person at the conference. Head to our website to read role descriptions.
  • NETWORKING and FRIENDSHIPS!! We always have a great time hanging out with all of you!! At the Spring Seminar, we all took a trip to Epcot!

HIPPO Education and ACOEP Present ERcast Live (Monday): Come join Matthew DeLaney, Andy Little, Drew Kalnow and the entire ERcast team in an action packed ERcast Live event to kick off the ACOEP Fall Scientific Assembly on October 6th. Come for the high-quality education that you can take to the bedside on your next shift and stay for the live music, on-stage demonstrations, prize giveaways and an afternoon full of unexpected surprises. PODCAST PALOOZA (Tuesday): Join the ACOEP in inviting some of EM’s largest names in podcasting to Podcast Palooza 2024! Where you’ll get a front-row seat at LIVE shows from the likes of ERcast, PEM Rules, EM Docs, and others all hosted by the hosts of EM Over Easy.

FOEM AWARDS RECEPTION (Tuesday): FOEM is the nonprofit arm of the ACOEP whose mission is to promote research and education to advance the science of patient centric holistic emergency care consistent with osteopathic philosophy.   • Up to 28.5 Credits available for Livestream Sessions/General Sessions (Galleria I-III)
  • Up to 3 Credits available for Breakout Sessions (Plaza I-II)
  • Up to 6.5 Additional Credits available for Paid Workshops/Women’s Luncheon
Note: Participants can earn credits from Livestream/General Sessions and Breakout Sessions, but since Breakout Sessions occur at the same time as General Sessions, attendees must choose between them. Additionally, Paid Workshops and the Women’s Luncheon offer further credit opportunities.
